Limewire and iMesh 5 are the two best. All of the others suck.

IRC - usually slow as hell
FTP - I can't ever find any FTP's for anything useful.. used to use irc alot when i still had a 1 or 2 mbit line, now i practically only use newsgroups. it takes 3 to 4 hours to download a full dvd with my 3.3 mbit line.
you have to be with really good boards (and share alot with them) to get nice ftp links, never really bothered trying it. dark: Schiet? where is he? blizzard: He gets his sudden bursts of spam in.
