I just got the game the other day and I spent the whole day playing co-op with my brother. The gameplay is generally the same, except for the awesome ability to steal vehicles (Banshees are the funnest to take). The covenant fight back and try to get your vehicles too.
Turns out that in the game you switch from the Master Chief to some covenant elite. Instead of a flashlight, you get invisibility for like 10 seconds.
The story line from what I've played through so far is the convenant came to Earth for some odd reason, and then they discovered Halo 2.

The gun's are a lot different in this one.

*My beloved human pistol has turned into a piece of shit. There isn't a scope on it anymore and its rather weak.

The assault rifle was replaced with the battle rifle. Battle rifle has a scope on it, shoots in 3-round bursts, and has a clip size of 36.

*The plasma rifle is the same. Just a new sound for firing. But these things kick major ass when they are dualed.

*Same with the plasma pistol.

You know that son of a bitch elite that kills you with a sword? You can use them now. Even though its not an instant kill its pretty cool.

The human rocket launcher now has missles that kind of follow vehicles.

*SMG is a kind of crappy gun to me, but my brother likes it. It has a clip size of about 60.

Sniper rilfe hasn't changed.

The covenants have a plasma sniper rifle. Thing that sucks about it is that it overheats REAL easily.

The fuel rod gun is pretty cool, it kills hunters extremely fast.

They've made some changes to the vehicles.

The banshee is now a lot slower. The manual says its because Earth's atmosphere is thicker but I think it's bull. The good thing is that L is now a boost, while B is the fuel rod missle.

Warthogs have a lot more traction now (Which I don't like). There's no change to it really, except L is now E-break.

Ghosts are slower and have the same boost as the banshee.

Human tanks are the same from what I can tell, except they move slower.

The plasma tanks are my favorite new vehicle. When you steal one, you jump onto the back or front, press B repetedly and break open a little sheet of metal. Then you press L and shove a grenade in.:P

I can't remember the name for them right now but the convenant now has a vehicle much like the warthog. It's much slower but can hold about 6 guys in it. There's still 1 turret.

That's all of the vehicles that I can remember from the game right now. :rolleyes:

The enemies have gotten some what smarter.

The elite is faster, and more accurate.

The grunts are just as stupid as ever.

The jackals seem taller in this game. But now they can really shoot that pistol fast.

Hunter's have gotten taller and a bit skinner. They're also stronger.:o

Those pain-in-the-ass flood are back. Only thing is that they haven't changed. Still gay.

You forgot to mention how bad-ass The Flood have gotten :angry:

They'll pilot Banshees, Warthogs, Wraiths, and other vehicles, and if you are riding in a vehicle yourself, chances are one of those bastards is going to rape your tight asshole with a rocket :ph34r:

wtf you are obviously getting owned in sword only if you think the sword has no one hit kill wow that's like the coolest thing in halo2...

Only in multiplayer. It doesn't in single player, with most of the aliens.

That's speaking from heroic difficulty, though, so I don't know for sure what you're doing.

AJ would never play Heroic. He'd lose too badly.

He plays extra, extra wuss difficulty level.

...Not really difficulty level, more like easiness factor.:o
