Here's the situation!
so my other computer has a problem, the bsod pops up and:

0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x80576F73, 0xF797D930, 0x00000000)

after googling around a bit ive basically come to the conclusion that its a ram error my other computer keeps getting. i have 2 sticks of 512 ram in the comp, and i tried removing each one and keeping the other in and starting up windows. still get the error. i havent run a RAM test, then again whenever i try to login to a user on windows XP it restarts. ill go try it in safe mode in a second.

i was thinking about reformatting it and then installing windows 2000, but if RAM is the problem wouldnt it still be faulty after installing windows2k?

also, what if it isnt the ram thats faulty?

go you computer nerds go! >.>
