mmmm i wouldnt say wii has better games. its a hard toss up, because wii has been flooded by loads and loads of shitty games. however their good games are really really spectacular.

zelda, metroid prime 3, super paper mario, and super mario galaxy are especially amazing games. if you havent played RE4 yet, get that because its amazing on the wii., its the best version of re4. even if youve played it before, its still really fun on the wii. also zak and wiki is a very good puzzle game, and if you want a sports game madden works well on the wii, especially considering it was a release game. the release game of trauma center is good, altho its more or less the same to the ds version. theres a new sequel to trauma center out that got good reviews too. if you need a good mini game compilation, rayman: raving rabbids is great and hilarious, altho that was also a release game. theres also mario party 8 (although its nothing new).
then theres also the gigantic amount of older platform games available through the virtual console that makes it pretty damn awesome since you can play old classics that you might not be able to find anymore, and for the most part quite well.
btw i just wanted to add that mario galaxy has got to be one of the funnest games ive played a while. not much has amazed me as that game, and i was never a big platform gamer before playing it.
The one most important game for the Wii that has not yet to be released yet but everyone already knows which game I'm talking about, Super Smash Bros Brawl.
