I had that same problem my freshmen year in the dorms, never found a liable way around it, and when I did it'd only work for a few minutes before cutting me off. However, it worked fine in the library, for reasons I still don't understand. I'd think they'd block library content more than private dorm room stuff, but hell I've seen plenty of homeless/white trash locals searching ridiculous things on library computers through the years.
