Don't think the problem was about having the server up too much. It was more populating it, it was ALWAYS empty for the time Sveach put it back up, except a few times with like six people.

it would be hard without having a solid memberbase to build up the server in the first place. that would require wroaw members and community to play whenever they can, which a lot of us dont do anymore T.T

well in this topic alone i think about 15 people replied. how many of those 15 would actually play (or even idle) in it for long periods of time for a bit until we had a decent amount of regulars?

i know that i would, and can almost guarantee that Biscuits would as well.

edit: i think that even with 10 people we could get it revived if we really worked at it. both idling server and spamming other servers, particularly 0wnage clan if they still have one, and any other "fun server"

for real, and we can just advertise our server coming back up on other cs forums etc. we'd easily get people back into it lol

http://www.utopianservers.com offers really cheap stable servers located in chicago.

We also host a hookmod server that is based off the original Wroaw server with all the nipper maps and more, but without rollthedice. The other two differences is hook to players is enabled and skyhook enabled. Of course the traffic will never be as cool as it used to be on the old wroaw server, but it is a good temporary place to hang if you want to play some classic hookmod until you get a server up again.
