Computer Buying Help
So here's the deal. My computer keeps wanting to crap out and I really need to pick up a new one...
Problem is, I know what the high end is, but its been awhile since I've gone hunting for deals for the 'ok' computer... I've never really dealt with 64-bit stuff and I'm clueless about vid cards these days... So I need your help for ideas for a CHEAP yet decent rig... What I have: -480W PS -DVD-RW -Hard drives (both sata and ide, probably keeping with just SATA from now on though) What I Need: -Case -Motherboard -RAM -CPU -Vid Card -DVD-R (not priority, I've got one floating around I think) I would LIKE something 64-bit and PCI-E... but the pci-e isnt a must have... Basically I need something that will let me play source, battlefield 2, etc... but not necessarily one that will have them running at full specs... 1gb+ of RAM is a must, but something expandable to 2-4gbs would be great Here's the problem... I only have about $300 to my name for this... So.... any suggestions? I play source just fine and my current video card is only an ATI Radeon 9600 XT (or Pro, I forget).
