I suggest learning the basics of PHP first, then buying some webspace, et al.

if its only for school...its better to get the basics of HTML and PHP then get a free host....the best host should for free i could think of is your computer or the schools;)thats if u know how to use your ip and stuff

i know HTML i can help you with some basics once you get the easy shit down it isnt hard at all you just keep this site handy: http://werbach.com/barebones/barebones.html or http://www.jmarshall.com/easy/html/ those are the two i use the most
