how much video memory does one need to run hl2 at its middle rate (aka not shitty but not super godlike).
I'd recommend at least a Radeon X800XT or Nvidia 6800 Ultimate.

I lag sometimes with full everything at 1024x768 (I think) resolution, with my 9600XT.
i kinda like having a non-source server to go to.

I dont like the idea of having 14 people that we dont know (aside from md) having admin/running the server. I trust md but hes a crazy englishmen who knows what his friends are like.
