Jesus 600W isn't enough anymore? It's been way too long since I built my comp...I bought a 350W back then. :<

Don't buy 4 gigs of ram if you are using a 32-bit windows. 32-bit only supports 3 gigs of ram while 64-bit will support a lot more. So if you buy 4 gigs of ram and only have 32 bit windows you will have a ram shaped paper weight sitting around.

Wouldn't it be worth it to get 2x2GB just to have two of the same sticks? It's been far too long since I knew jack shit about computers, but doesn't DDR work faster if you have mirrored sticks?
Yeah but one of sticks would be hindered by the fact that the OS would only recognize 3gb of it. Pretty much you'd get better results with 2x1gb and 2x512mb to hit 3gb for the 32bit.
ok how do i figure out what xx-bit windows i'm using?

I don't know about Vista, but if you have XP and didn't specifically order 64bit XP, it's 32bit.

i believe winxp x64 supports 8gb of ram nd x86 supports 4gb but yeah, 4gb is more than enough, 2gbwoudl prolly suit for all you would need.
i put 2 corsair sticks of 2gb each in my comp. ive only got 32bit windows so only 3.2 of it was recognized. i only got the four because there was a deal and it was cheaper for the 4 than two on newegg
