i've been friends with almost all of my ex's... but anyone where i actually had an emotional connection that was abused? burned, it doesn't matter how it ended. why? because a year from now that shit will come up again... its a cycle of torture that most everyone gets once in their lives....

I've been fortunate to remain friends with all my ex's (mostly because the relationships wern't THAT serious), BUT... I did have one and the break-up was real rough for me. Neither of us wanted to let go so we got stuck in this weird space. In the end I'll just say that I realized that weird space was actually the source of a lot of ongoing emotional pain, confusion, etc.

What I learned was that when you take a blow, give yourself time to heal, AWAY from that person! It's the only way to get your head clear, get your feelings sorted, and most importantly, to move on!

That's how I do it now. If we're done, we're done. I break off all contact. It doesn't mean you can't/won't reconnect in the future. May you will, maybe not. But it does mean you respect yourself enough to make getting your shit together top priority.

Being miserable is for the birds. Too much fun to have in life, and too many fine girls to have it with. B)

Well it's still in that weird space but there's an update:

I was sick all thru xmas and xmas eve and so I didn't see her, then today I called her at midday and asked if she could come over and she said she could come over at 6PM and I was like, I wanna spend the day with you...and she pretty much told me to 'fuck off' lol. Called me rude for phoning aswell.

So that'll be that, I'm gonna try going to my gran's for dinner even though I feel like shiz, but it's better than being home alone for hours on end. :/

New year's resolution: stop being so attached to this shit!
