Can someone help get me started with this free server stuff?

I have the game downloaded, I got it from the L2 website.

I REALLY want to play this.

I don't play their anymore....talk to me on aim, and play on server 3 I got tons of crap their(all top stuff + almost 1billion:o) and tons of friends u can hang with and such. That server seems to be slipping lately though but not sure.
