Smells of Starcraft influence, which isn't bad at all. It has high potential of becoming very addicting to me, but I haven't yet because I got raped the first time I joined. I was the zerg or aliens, or whatever, and I got killed very quickly numerous times by those turrets.
Somebody was nice enough to teach me the basics of evolution and building (reminds me of zerg again). So yeah, if you guys could teach me some things, I've picked up a few strategies already, that would be nice.

EXACTLY starcraft is what it is. i noticed that as well! i'm already addicted im afraid but thats not such a bad thing although imagine ns on the hl2 engine.. mmm my mouth is watering
Right click, if you can't find build from there you should die.
wouldnt it be cool if someone made a hl2 mod that was a first person version of starcraft? skulks look alot like zerglings dont they?

Zerglings are about the size of a human hunched in that shape, actually. Skulks are quite a bit smaller. When you think about it, though, there are a lot of similar zergs and kharaa.
Zergling - skulk
Hydralisk - Fade with acid spit
Mutalisk - Lerk
Ultralisk - Onos
Defiler - Lerk's orange gas thing. >.>
Drone - Gorge (building & such)
Queen - Skulk parasiting

Cheat, if you're a beginner in NS, play maps that start with a co_.
To build as a marine though, just go up to something that isn't built, and push e (your use key). Same for alien, if you're a gorge, push e infront of chambers/resource towers to build them. You cannot build hives, they build on their own.
Cheat, also I could give you some nubby servers to play on, because most of the top servers with a lot of people on are where the good people are at.
The server me and Dwopple play on a lot is 70.85.82.72:27015. They play mostly co_ maps, sometimes sieges and ns_ maps. The people there are normally mediocre, they don't suck but they aren't good.:huh:
