Alright I am in need of a new computer. Basically the one that I have right now is shit.

I only have a 500 dollar budget to spend. To save money I am just going to be using my current case and powersupply.

What I need
Motherboard
RAM
Graphic Card
Hard Drive(Not necessary but would be cool)
Processor.

Also I hate posting this shit because I don't know a whole lot about computers but Womb Raider told me to.:)
What will the PC be used for?
and what do you currently have to see whats possible to keep
what kind of power supply do you have?
I have an antec 500 watt power supply.

It is just an old HP that I kinda upgraded. A shitty 1.8GHZ processor, AMD, a 1600 PRO raident Graphic Card, 1gb of ram(2 512 sticks), a shitty motherboard that sucks.

It well mostly be used for Graphic Design along with LIGHT gaming such as Team Fortress 2 and CS.

I hope that helps.
$32- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820148111

$85 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814131129

and

$285- http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDet...st=Combo.146165

or

$370 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDet...st=Combo.146751

RAM - No brainer for a budget, 4 gigs of DDR2 is dirt cheap.
Video card - Right now best budget is Radeon 4830
Processor & mobo combo - Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad, either way you're below $500.
Thanks a lot dumez I really appreciate it.

Before I go and buy all of that can other people verify that would be the best deal for my crappy price range?

Thanks
Kyle.
apparently someone couldnt fit theirs into their case, id make sure it fits. I actually just bought a video card tonight

i dont know much about radeon cards, but if its around the same as an nvidia 8600, consider the one i got

edit: it is 256, vs the radeon's 512 though
plot, why not shell out like 40 more dollars and get a much more powerful card than the 8600

i have an 8800gt too and i run fallout 3 on highest settings with 20fps.

dod:s spikes up to 150 fps, tf2 usually 80, and wow i have an average of 50fps anywhere, with raids usually dropping only as low as 20
This is the card I have.
btw the reviews lie about crysis
crysis and C warhead work fine for me.

pros: its only 90 bucks and its i gb and nice

cons: not to powerful, cant run crysis without lag in high graphics settings
low runs fine

it runs all valve game just perfect.

i paid 100$ like 2 months ago
