My government teacher's favorite saying: Socialist Security.

Money that's taxed away from you for 40 years so that you can get it back plus a little interest later = bad. I'd rather manage my own finances...

Plus, I may be wrong, but I heard that there are not enough young people to pay for the baby boomer's of the 40's socialist security. I guess they should have thought of that before starting the damn thing. Oh well, we pay higher taxes so that old people can get back their taxes. Though it would be so much simpler if it just didn't exist. :(

Yes, I concur. I'd rather manage my own finances...but what about all those old people. Yea, the ones that have been working for 30+ years who won't see a drop of that sweet socialIST security money? If we drop social security now, they are gonna get boned in the ass.

Social Security is definitely not flawless, but there has got to be a way to not screw the old people.

Well if we don't screw them we screw ourselves.
