NOTE: Make sure you have the REAL Steam installed(http://www.steampowered.com)

-How to install-
--First of all, run the cs16full_v7.exe(CS1.6 NonSteam installer) and pick a directory for it to copy the files to(e.g. C:\Games\CS)

--After the installation, run the patchfile(cs16v19.exe for now)

--Now, open up the cs16_play_on_steam.zip and extract the files to the folder where you installed the NonSteam CS1.6(e.g. C:\Games\CS)(from now on 'gamefolder')

--Open the SteamApp.cfg file in your gamefolder(open it with Notepad or something similar)

--Edit it like this:






NOTE: The password should be between the quation marks. Just copy the above and edit it.

--Now, start Steam. Make sure you have a valid account(you can create one whenever you want)! Go to your Steam folder and copy the file ClientRegistry.blob to your gamefolder.

You need to be logged in so that you can copy the ClientRegistry.blob file and fake your login.

--Go to your gamefolder and search for the hl.exe. Make a shortcut to it. Right-click the shortcut and select Properties. Paste this: -steam -game cstrike after the path leading to your hl.exe(e.g. "C:\Games\CS\hl.exe" -steam -game cstrike <--- Make sure that the spaces are correct!)

--Double-click the shortcut and you should be able to play

What I just posted above is how to play CS without a CD key. This is otherwise known as Nonsteam. And this crack REALLY works, its amazing. But if DT or MD is against cracking then feel free to take it out. :)
