Not usually. In some cases they can. Some others they can't. Its heavily frowned upon though.
in a highprofile case, no...the media will be all over it like white on micheal jackson
seeing as though i had jury duty and was picked(dont sign up to vote, thats how they get ya!), i was put up in a hotel in chicago until the trial was over, couldnt talk about the trial at all...
not too sure about the newspaper though, didnt really pay attention when the read the rules and put me up, id say no, because if its a major trial it could be in the newspaper.
